Marc Sugars, LMSW, CAPM, has over 20 years of experience in the social work field working for nonprofits, disability services, and health care and hospice. His roles have included a combination of counseling, case management, program development, and performance improvement. Before consulting with Harambee Consultant Group, Marc was the full-time social worker at an in-patient hospice facility for over 3 years. He continues to be involved in the hospice field through a service design mentorship that focuses on the end-of-life experience at an inpatient facility or end of life home. Before moving to Austin in 2018, Marc lived in the Bay Area and worked at the Regional Center of the East Bay. His roles included case manager, resource/program developer, and quality assurance. He enjoys using the knowledge gained there in his current role to help support providers in the development of as well as ongoing provisions of their service programs. Recently, Marc attained a Certified Associate in Project Management designation by Project Management Institute.

He is married with two children and a dog and appreciates any opportunity he gets to immerse himself in the great outdoors. While he misses the wonders of the Bay Area outdoors, especially the redwoods, he has found places in the Austin area that call to him as well.
